Summer Programs
Bentley University Pre-College Programs are back for next summer. Applications open on January 15th with early applicants getting priority access. This program offers rising sophomores, juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore experiential learning in: Entrepreneurship, Women in Business, Sports Management and Wall St. 101. Bridgewater State Center for the Advancement of STEM Education is offering a Summer Science Academy for students who will be in grades 10-12 (July 7-11) and grades 7-9 (July 14-18). Programs include: Cybersecurity from Intern to Specialist, the Human Body from a Medical Mindset, Avoiding a CATastrophe (for our cat lovers) and Cybertank (Shark-Tank Themed). Bryant University will host the PricewaterhouseCoopers Accounting Careers Leadership Institute from June 22-June 26, 2025. Current juniors can learn more about the accounting profession by working directly with Bryant faculty and students as well as professionals from PwC. This program is free if selected and includes overnight accommodations, meals, planned activities and educational materials. To qualify, students must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least Algebra 2 by the end of junior year. Apply by Friday, April 11 at www.bryant.edu. Bryant University Summer Precollege Economics Program: Students will learn how to apply economic knowledge to affect social change. Work closely with Bryant faculty during an immersive five-day, in-person experience. The program will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, August 4-8. Students are responsible for transportation each day. Next Step: Summer College Success Program at Boston College, July 20-25 offers college-bound young adults (ages 16-20) with social communication and/or executive functioning challenges an incredible opportunity to:
-Experience a “week in college”
-Live in a dorm with a roommate or suitemates
-Budget for meals using a meal card in the dining hall
-Learn about campus supports and how to access
-Participate in group lessons on health and wellness, dating and relationships
-Practice self-advocacy skills
-Explore the local area using public transportation for off-campus excursions
-Gain confidence and independence
Note: In addition to the five-day residential program ($3,000), families can opt for a four-day commuter option that includes breakfast and lunches, afternoon programming and a few off-campus excursions, an ideal option for those interested in exploring college life but reluctant to live away from home ($1,600).
